a bit about me:
Biljana Pipovic is an enthusiastic English teacher with 27 years of working experience, currently employed at Gimnazija ‘Stevan Jakovljević’ in Vlasotince and Gimnazija, Leskovac in Leskovac, Serbia. She has also been a language instructor in private schools for 19 years, teaching teenagers and adults of all language levels, in both general and Business English. Since 2006, she has mentored talented students, members of the Regional Center for Talented Students in Vranje, and has won 16 awards at the Republic Competition for Talented Students.
Biljana is the author and teacher trainer of five seminars recognized as a form of professional development by the Ministry of Education in Serbia. An awarded eTwinner, she has received 21 European Quality Labels for her international project work and the prestigious European Language Label, which encourages the development of new techniques and initiatives in language learning and teaching, as well as the enhancement of intercultural awareness across Europe.
Her present interests include teaching FCE, CAE, and CPE exam classes, using project-based learning to develop students’ key competencies, international school projects, eTwinning projects, and employing various techniques in the classroom - such as music, videos, films, photos, and thought-provoking questions - to motivate students to think critically and express their minds. She is also passionate about voluntary work and organizing charity events. When not teaching, Biljana enjoys reading books and researching her next travel destination.
